Help?
Hey, there, everyone over in Brit-land -- is there any way by train or other publicly available transport to get from Plymouth to Cardiff? (I ask because my mommy is going to England with her friend in May, so there will be two slighty confused middle-aged american women wandering about trying to figure out where Dr. Who/Torchwood is filmed..... No, wait, actually, they want to see every garden ever planted in England.)

Anyway, I'd appreciate any help or suggestions because my mother honestly seems to think that reciting the tube schedule to me at breakfast is somehow going to help. Trust me, it's not.

Yes, you can travel from Plymouth to Cardiff. Will mean one change at either Weston-super-Mare or at Bristol Temple Meads. Depends on what time one travels, but more likely to be the latter as the change.

Have a look at this website as it allows you to search the rail network timetable. The fare will be approx £44 per person (this website allows you to check the fare and also book it but it may be better to do that at the station). Its just over 3 hour journey.

There is a coach system too but this is over 6 hour journey so I wouldn't bother looking at that at all.

You are absolutely correct - Reciting the tube schedule will definitely not help with this task as it doesn't cover anywhere else except London!
